Zen Internet to Upgrade to BT’s 21CN Network

Posted at July 2, 2009 by admin

Zen Internet has declared its interest to enhance its services by signing up for the 21CN network provided by BT exchange, and with the help of the ADLS2+ service, they should soon be able to offer an ‘up to’ 20Mb broadband service.

According to Zen Internet, at the initial stage, present internet users will continue to avail the service for the same price but can later look forward to a faster download speed. The new customers will be able to avail the 20Mb broadband service, provided that the service is possible in their particular area.

The quality and the speed of the service would rely on the distance between the internet user and the location of the adjoining exchange. Zen also feels that the condition of both external and internal wiring will decide the future of the service, and whether it is able to achieve a quicker download speed of 20 Mb and upload speed of about 1 Mb. A faster internet connection, as assured by Zen Internet has not yet been achieved, but can be expected from the year 2010. The company also expresses its concern at the slow rate at which work is being done due to an inadequate BT workforce. Keeping in mind the number of BT engineers, it is estimated that their aim of providing users a 20 Mb service will take at least eight months.
